Bonatti, in joint venture with Pumpco, has been awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the complete pipeline system of the Argentina LNG project

Argentina LNG is a large-scale integrated gas project that combines upstream and midstream infrastructure to unlock Vaca Muerta’s resources and supply international markets. The project is expected to reach LNG exports of up to 12 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) by 2030, with the potential to scale up to 18 MTPA.

The scope of work includes the construction of a 48-inch natural gas pipeline and a parallel liquids pipeline, each extending approximately 527 kilometers from Meseta Buena Esperanza, in the Vaca Muerta basin, to Sierra Grande, in Río Negro Province, on Argentina’s Atlantic coast.

Pumpco, a leading U.S. pipeline contractor, brings extensive experience in the execution of large-diameter pipeline projects. The joint venture also includes Contreras Hermanos, a highly respected Argentine contractor with a longstanding track record in the country’s energy infrastructure sector, providing valuable local expertise and execution capabilities.

The award represents a major milestone in Bonatti’s Latin American growth strategy, marking the company’s entry into Argentina’s rapidly expanding energy market. Bonatti already has a strong presence across the region, serving both the energy and mining sectors. To date, the company has successfully delivered more than 3,500 kilometers of large-diameter pipelines in the area, generating cumulative revenues exceeding USD 4 billion and employing a workforce of over 6,500 professionals.

This contract further reinforces Bonatti’s position as a leading EPC contractor for large-diameter pipeline projects and highlights its proven ability to deliver complex, strategically significant infrastructure developments.

Bonatti sincerely thanks ENI, YPF and XRG for their confidence and trust.
