HSE Management System

In all aspects of our activities, we operate on the basis of internationally recognised standards which are implemented in the company through a series of policies, procedures and appropriate best practices.

These are embedded in our management systems and include Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)  Policy and comprehensive HSE procedures and instructions.

All these systems and policies are subject to audits, providing assurance to the Bonatti management that effective and efficient processes are in place to identify and manage risks and ensure compliance with the approved HSE Management System.

The HSE Management system is certified according to the international standards OHSAS 18001 and UNI EN ISO 14001.

The Stop Work Policy

Every worker has the right to expect that all precautions are taken to ensure that he or she works in a safe and healthy environment. This is the precept underlying Bonatti’s stringent HSE Policy.

A proactive reporting system is in place to identify unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviours and near misses.

Whilst there are highly specialised HSE professionals working on our projects, it is physically impossible for them to be everywhere at once. Empowering people to stop work which they consider unsafe, actively engages all members of the projects in looking for potential problems. In the simplest terms, the more people watching out, the more issues we can see. After all, HSE is everybody’s responsibility.

In all our activities, we implement a safety policy that, following the indications of a specific procedure, is launched and communicated worldwide in all our projects and to all our employees and contractors: Stop Work Authority.

The outcome of the empowerment is of the increased cohesion, as it helps people to bond together and understand that everyone’s opinion is valued and appreciated.

Specific training is delivered and contributes to the promotion and fulfilment of our motto,
as well as the most crucial paragraph in the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policy:

"Every employee of Bonatti and its subcontractors has the power and responsibility to STOP WORK whenever he or she feels that working activities are being carried out unsafely and there is a potential for creation of a dangerous situation, absolutely without any fear of being blamed."

HSE Performance

Every incident that occurs in Bonatti is investigated with the aim of gathering facts, establishing immediate and root causesand providing recommendations to correct failures and to prevent the incident from recurring. The Bonatti HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are benchmarked annually against statistical data.

Working at Bonatti means becoming part of dynamic team committed to achieving challenging objectives in international and multicultural contexts.
